According to the source, the new devices will support up to 35W charging, which is 15W more than the current iPhone 14 and 14 Plus and 8W more than the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. It is unknown whether this will apply to all iPhone 15 models or only the older Pro versions.
This is a step forward for Apple, which has traditionally lagged behind its competitors in terms of charging speeds for its smartphones. For example, modern Android smartphones offer 67W, 80W, 120W, 150W and even 240W chargers. However, Samsung’s flagship models support up to 45W charging, while the latest Google Pixel 7 Pro smartphone only supports 23W.
