Xiaomi introduced a new version of its CyberDog 2 robot dog, which has become smarter, more agile and looks like a real pet thanks to the two ears that have appeared on its head. In this respect informs Gizmochina portal.
It is noted that the design of CyberDog 2 is based on the Doberman breed. The robotic dog, which weighs 8.9 kg, can move at speeds up to 1.6 m/s and can perform various tricks such as backflips. It can also get up on its own after falling.
The robot has a wide variety of sensors, including an RGB camera, an AI-powered 13 MP interactive camera, four ToF sensors, LiDAR, a scene depth camera, an ultrasonic sensor, and more. The robotic dog can recognize faces, including recognizing its owner and strangers, following the user and responding to voice commands.
CyberDog 2 is powered by an NX Processor and two coprocessors providing high performance 21 Topps. The robot also supports open source programming, allowing developers to create their own applications for it.
CyberDog 2 cost 13 thousand yuan (about 180.2 thousand rubles) in China, which is not much for this type of device. For example, the popular manufacturer Boston Dynamics sells the robot dog Spot for 74.5 thousand dollars (about 7.1 million rubles).
Previously Xiaomi released A giant tablet for 50 thousand rubles.
