Xiaomi made a presentation introduced The flagship foldable smartphone Mix Fold 3, which, according to the company, can withstand more than 500,000 folds, this is about 300 thousand more than the closest competitors.
The novelty received an external 6.56-inch diagonal AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution and an 8.03-inch SAMSUNG E6 internal flexible LTOP OLED display with 2K resolution. In both cases, the displays provide up to 2600 nits of brightness and run at refresh rates of up to 120 Hz.
The Mix Fold 3 is equipped with four main camera blocks, in the optimization of which Xiaomi worked with Leica engineers. The main Sony IMX800 sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels has support for optical stabilization (OIS), which is also found in two 10 megapixel telephoto lenses with 3x and 5x zoom. Moreover, the latter is made in the form of a periscope. The smartphone also has a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a dual front camera for two screens of 20 MP each.
The flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip is responsible for the performance of the device, along with LPDDR5X RAM with a capacity of up to 16GB and internal UFS 4.0 storage up to 1TB.
The 4800mAh battery supports 67W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It was also announced that the Xiaomi Mix Fold has 3 Surge G1 and Surge P2 chips, which are responsible for the efficient distribution of energy.
Separately, it is noted that the back panel of the smartphone in the black version is made of a ceramic fiber material called Dragon Scale Fiber, thereby making the case stronger than when glass is used. The thickness of Mix Fol 3 is 5.26 mm when unfolded and 10.96 mm when folded.
The cost of the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 in China starts from 9 thousand yuan (about 121.8 thousand rubles) for the 12/256 GB version. Most likely, the novelty will not appear outside of China, like the previous models of the Mix Fold series.
