Apple’s iPhones are the least popular in Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, and Ukraine, with nine devices running Google’s Android mobile operating system per iPhone. Statistics published twitter German demographer Simon Kustenmacher.
The maximum indicator (50-70% of iPhone users) is states in the northwest of Europe, such as England, Norway, Sweden. For Apple’s sake, France is leading the way.
Those living in eastern countries prefer Android more, but the proportion of iPhone users here is 20-40%. A similar indicator of the prevalence of “iPhones” exists in countries such as Russia, Hungary, Romania and Belarus.
“Wealthy northern Europeans are more likely to use the iPhone. I suspect the Germans are rich enough to use iPhones, but they still prefer Android. Eastern Europeans use cheaper Android smartphones,” said Kustenmacher.
In the comments, many users felt there were exceptions to the rules. For example, the popularity of the iPhone in Albania is extremely high (over 50%). At the same time, iPhones are less common in Spain and Italy (30-40%) than in other European countries.
