According to the source, the new feature was discovered in WhatsApp beta version 2.23.17.5 for Android. With its help, users will be able to log into their account from any device, confirming their identity using special access keys. These are short combinations of numbers or letters that you won’t need to remember, as they will be stored in Google’s password manager.
Additionally, a screen lock code or biometrics will be used for authentication: fingerprint and face recognition. Thus, WhatsApp developers aim to increase the security and privacy levels of their users.
