PlayStation 5 owners will be able to play without downloading the game

Sony has launched a game streaming test in the cloud for the PlayStation 5 console. informs VGC portal referring to feedback from users who accessed the new feature.

According to users testing the new service, gamers will be able to launch cloud games on various screen resolutions, including 720p, 1080p, 1440p and 4K. It is noted that a similar Microsoft service called Xbox Cloud does not yet offer 4K resolution.

The novelty will allow you to run “heavy” games without loading them into the console’s memory. Streaming games currently available include God of War: Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Fortnite, Demon’s Souls, Death Stranding, and many more.

According to VGC, PS5 cloud streaming will be available to PS Plus Premium subscribers. Through the cloud, players will be able to play games from the PS Plus catalog as well as some games from their personal libraries. The official launch date of the service for all users is still unknown.

Launching cloud gaming on PlayStation 5 will likely not work for gamers from Russia, as Sony suspended its digital services in the country in 2022. It was not reported whether the novelty will be available in the Turkish PS Plus Deluxe subscription, which is used by many Russians.
