South Korean company Samsung introduced the giant 98-inch Neo QLED TV series with 8K (7680×4320) resolution. Portal reports SamMobile.

Model number QNC990 is equipped with a Mini LED backlight panel for local dimming for a more cinematic viewing experience.

The device also supports HDR10 technologies. The new product supports dynamic image refresh rates up to 144Hz and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro frame sync technology, which is popular in games.

The screen has received an anti-reflective coating and is able to scale the video to a lower resolution, up to 8K, so that the picture is of high quality even at the low resolution of the source material.

The QNC990 has a 6.4.4 channel configuration and a sound system with 120 W of audio power. The TV runs on Tizen 7.0 operating system and Neo Quantum Processor 8K chip.

The 98-inch TV is housed in an Infinite Slim Design chassis with metal frame and back. Speakers are located on the back and sides of the TV.

The QNC990 went on sale in South Korea for $39,000 (about 3.5 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
