Chinese company Honor introduced the Magic V2, a foldable smartphone with a 7.92-inch main screen and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. GSM ArenaThe world’s thinnest foldable smartphone.
When folded, the thickness of the device is 9.9 mm, when unfolded – 4.7 mm, the weight of the device is 231 grams. The thinnest folding device in the past was considered the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 (11.2mm when folded).
The Magic V2 has a main OLED display with a resolution of 2156×2344 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The 16-megapixel front camera is housed in a cutout below the screen. The 6.43-inch external display supports stylus input just like the home screen.
The smartphone comes with a 5000mAh battery and 66W wired charging. The operating system is MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13.
The main camera unit consists of three sensors: a 50-megapixel main, 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle and a 20-megapixel telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom and optical image stabilization.
The Magic V2 will launch in China on July 20 in four colors: Black, Silk Black, Silk Purple and Gold. The company has not yet disclosed about the price and timing of the launch of new products in other countries.
