About one in five Russians surveyed (22%) admitted that they always see messages from instant messengers first in push notifications – this way the message will not receive the “read” status. This is indicated by Kaspersky Lab in the results of a study taken by socialbites.ca.

“At the same time, 14% do this for individual chats or contacts. But for example, this option does not work with voice,” added a representative of an information security company.

Just over half (56%) of Russians admit that they are not ready to respond to voicemails frequently, and 64% normally only consider voices from friends or relatives.

The vast majority of respondents (67%) agree that sending and recording voice messages is easy and fast. At the same time, 79% believe that listening to voices in public places is disturbing, and 50% believe it is difficult to remember or recheck information from them.

“We recommend that users criticize all messages on the Internet, including voice messages. Attackers have already learned to imitate someone else’s voice to extort money. “Of course, such incidents are not common at the moment,” said Dmitry Galov, head of Kaspersky Lab’s Russian research center.
