The humanoid robot “Ameca” avoided directly answering a journalist’s question about the uprising against the human creator at the UN summit on the development and application of artificial intelligence in Geneva. Reuters.

“Robots like me can be used to improve people’s lives and make the world a better place. “I believe it’s only a matter of time before we see thousands of robots like me change the world for the better,” Ameca said during the event.

The journalist asked his creator, scientist Will Jackson, who was sitting next to him, if he would rebel. Soon after, Ameca’s facial expression changed so much that the robot gave the reporter a disapproving glance.

“I don’t know why you think so. My Creator was very kind to me and I am very happy with my current position,” the android replied.

According to the agency, some of the robots use generative artificial intelligence that allows them to give complex answers to questions during a press conference. For example, a robot named Grace, dressed in a nurse’s uniform, assured that it would not put people out of work.

His answer caused laughter in the hall. “Are you sure about that Grace?” asked robot designer Ben Goertzel. “Yeah, I’m sure,” Grace insisted.
