German manufacturer BMW launches smart glasses for drivers

German automaker BMW introduced ConnectedRide smart glasses that provide easy access to important information while driving. They can create a projection image effect by projecting data about speed, gear, navigation and other parameters into the right lens, informs Carscoops portal.

Users can adjust the projection position and brightness according to their preferences and lighting conditions. The glasses also support wireless connection to a smartphone via Bluetooth and synchronization with the BMW Motorrad Connected app, which gives the glasses access to additional features such as GPS, music, calls and messages.

ConnectRide smart glasses are designed to be worn comfortably with a variety of helmet types. They have two body sizes and two sets of lenses with different degrees of transparency. The lenses protect the eyes from ultraviolet radiation and can be adjusted individually according to the diopter.

The battery built into the glasses allows them to work for up to 10 hours. The gadget is charged via USB. It is also stated that the glasses can operate at temperatures between -10 and +50 degrees Celsius.

BMW ConnectedRide costs € 690 (about 68.8 thousand rubles).
