In Las Vegas (USA), a massive spherical screen was test-driven surrounding the MSG Sphere, the city’s new concert hall. In this respect informs CNN’s edition.
The screen is 111.5 meters high and 158 meters wide, making it the largest spherical structure in the world. The display consists of 1.2 million LEDs, each the size of a hockey puck.
The MSG Sphere test launch took place in honor of US Independence Day, celebrated on July 4. The full opening of the site will take place on September 29, 2023. U2 will be the first to perform on the new stage.
MSG Sphere was designed by Populous Architects. The site cost $2.3 billion to build, and the new stadium can accommodate around 18,000 people.
MSG Sphere will host movie screenings as well as music concerts. Therefore, the premiere of Darren Aranofsky’s new film “Postcards from the Earth” has already been scheduled, in a building whose walls are filled with giant screens.
