Ubisoft introduced An exclusive Assassin’s Creed Mirage History of Baghdad Codex that allows players to learn more about the history, culture and science of the Abbasid Caliphate.
To do this, Ubisoft brought in Middle Eastern history experts and collaborated with museums. In the Baghdad History Codex, players will be able to access historical information about Baghdad and the 9th century Abbasid Caliphate where the game takes place. This encyclopedia will consist of five chapters: Economics, Religion and Daily Life, State, Art and Science, and Palace Life.
In each episode, players will be able to read articles supplemented with pictures of exhibits in museums in which Ubisoft is a partner. The articles will cover various aspects of life in Baghdad, including sensitive topics such as harems, slavery and eunuchs. Some articles will also contain fun facts.
Ubisoft stated that the purpose of the mod is not only to educate players, but also to show how rich and diverse the culture of Baghdad was in the 9th century.
