South Korean tech giant Samsung has filed three trademark applications with the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) that could refer to the company’s new wearables. In this respect informs SamMobile version.
We’re talking about brands like Samsung Circle, Samsung Index, and Samsung Insight. All brands are registered in the categories of “wearable computers”, “smart rings”, “smart watches and smartphones”.
SamMobile suggests that the name Samsung Circle may refer to the company’s smart ring or fitness band. In turn, journalists associate Samsung Index and Samsung Insight with virtual, augmented or mixed reality devices and controllers for them.
“The information is too vague to determine the exact nature of these devices or to be certain of their existence,” writes SamMobile.
However, the publication recalled that in February 2023, Samsung announced the development of an unnamed mixed reality headset with Qualcomm. Since then, information about the device has not appeared in the media.
