The developers of Russian company Yandex announced the launch of a major update to the Navigator app that brings features such as route optimization with multiple points and the ability to learn the duration of a trip in the future. It has been reported VC.ru regarding the company’s press service.
Another new feature of Navigator is the optimization of routes consisting of 4-10 points. The app chooses the fastest route to each of the locations, taking into account traffic congestion.
The application will be able to tell drivers how long the journey will take, not only during routing, but also on a specific day and time based on previously collected data.
It became possible to select the option “Avoid bad and dirt roads” when creating a route. As a result, Navigator paves the way only on well-paved roads whenever possible.
Also, the application in the Android version has new widgets for the desktop, with which you can quickly check the traffic level and create a route from home or work.
In Navigator you can now pay for parking and no need to switch between apps or send SMS. Until now, the function is available only in Moscow, in all parking lots, except those closed with barriers.
The update is now available for some users in the app on the Android mobile OS and will soon appear in the app for smartphones on iOS.
