Speaking in court as part of the US Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) lawsuit against the merger of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard, a lawyer from an American IT company mistakenly announced the release date of a new game in the Elder Scrolls series. In this respect informs PC Gamer version.
During the trial, the judge decided to ask FTC lawyers about the consequences the gaming industry may face after Call of Duty becomes Xbox exclusive. When an FTC official began comparing Call of Duty to The Elder Scrolls for visibility, a Microsoft lawyer interrupted.
“There are two Elder Scrolls games. The first is called The Elder Scrolls Online, an online game available on PlayStation. HE [юрист FTC] He talked about The Elder Scrolls 16. This game will be single-player and is scheduled to be released in 2026.”
PC Gamer writes that Microsoft’s lawyer was wrong. Obviously, when the IT company representative said The Elder Scrolls 16, the new licensed episode of the series, The Elder Scrolls 6, was announced in 2018.
PC Gamer also believes the lawyer made a mistake in history. Journalists are skeptical that The Elder Scrolls 6 will be released this early. Also on the eve of Xbox head Phil Spencer said that the game will be in development for at least another five years.
Previously, the developers of the game based on the movie “Robocop” declaration“only the most deserving citizens” will get early access to it.
