Sealed first-generation 4GB iPhone goes up for auction. It has been reported Apple insider.
As the portal notes, such devices, released more than 16 years ago, are in particular demand among collectors, especially models that have never been printed out of the original box. The LCG Auctions auction house expects to sell this lot for $100,000 (approximately 8.8 million rubles). The description says that only the original 4 GB model, released in 2007, was purchased.
In March of this year, the American auction house Wright also released the first iPhone sealed with a unique “You’re in luck” sticker (Russian for “You’re in luck”). Probably, the owner of the smartphone won it in a competition organized by the company. As a result, it was bought by tech blogger Marques Brownlee, known under the pseudonym MKBHD, and opened up everything on his YouTube channel. The smartphone cost him 40 thousand dollars (about 3.2 million rubles).
The first generation iPhone was first introduced on January 9, 2007 by Apple co-founder Steve Jobs at the Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco.
