The Telegram messenger will soon have the ability to post in the form of Stories on Instagram (the owner of Meta was considered extremist and banned in Russia), YouTube, WhatsApp and other popular online services. About it on my channel knowledgeable Telegram Head Pavel Durov.
“For years, our users have been asking us to bring Stories to Telegram. Durov wrote that more than half of all feature requests we receive are related to Stories.
He also added that the Telegram team was initially against this format as it is already ubiquitous. However, according to Durov, Telegram would not have become what it is today if he and his team had not introduced new features in line with user requests. When it comes to stories, the developers also did not deviate from this principle and nevertheless decided to add a new format to the messenger.
According to the feature description, Telegram Stories are heavily inspired by Instagram. Pictures and videos will stay streamed for 6 to 48 hours, depending on the user’s choice. Stories can be decorated with inscriptions and stickers. Each view will be personalized, meaning it will be possible to understand which users are interested in the content.
“Overall, after testing Stories internally, even the biggest opponents in our team began to appreciate this feature. “We can no longer imagine Telegram without it,” Durov wrote.
He noted that Stories is in the final stages of testing and will be available in early July 2023. According to Durov, the introduction of Stories “will mark a new era in Telegram.”
Previously on WhatsApp messenger seen the ability to pin messages to chats for 24 hours, a week or a month.
