For comfortable use of the already expensive Apple Vision Pro headset, customers will have to pay extra for a special headband strap. In this respect informs Bloomberg insider and reporter Mark Gurman.
According to Gurman, the more people test the Vision Pro, the more often Apple receives complaints that the device does not have the highest ergonomics. People note that after several hours of continuous use of the headset, their head gets tired from the huge weight of the device.
Apple has a tool to fix this problem – a strap that wears on the head like the headband of headphones. But according to an insider, the American IT company does not intend to sell it as an additional accessory and make it part of the mandatory configuration. The price of the gadget has not been disclosed.
Gourmet also learned that Apple Stores are equipped with special demo areas for the sale of Vision Pro. In them, potential buyers will be able to try on the headset, adjust the fit of the device, and also choose the densest mask that will prevent light from entering the space between the eyes and the screen.
According to the journalist, it is possible for Apple to accept potential Vision Pro buyers by appointment. A similar procedure in 2015 took place before the original Apple Watch was purchased.
Vision Pro will go on sale in early 2024 at a price of $ 3.5 thousand (about 295 thousand rubles at the exchange rate of June 26, 2023).
