New Apple processor catches Intel and AMD flagships

The results of testing the M2 Ultra chip on a Mac Studio computer appeared in the Geekbnech 5 benchmark database. The innovation was only 18% more efficient than last year’s M1 Ultra, informs WCCFTech portal.

During the presentation of the new M2 Ultra chip, Apple said that the innovation’s CPU has become 20% more productive than its predecessor, and the GPU has become 30% more productive. According to the first test on Geekbench, the increase in processor performance was only 18%.

Thus, the Apple M2 Ultra chip scored 1956 in the single-core test and 27945 in the multi-core test. The flagship processors Intel Core i9-13900K and AMD Ryzen 9 7950X show a relatively similar result. Intel – 2322 and 27371, and in the case of AMD – 2290 and 24778.

Apple’s latest flagship M2 Ultra chip has 24 CPU cores and a 60 or 76 core GPU. The novelty can also have a combined memory of up to 192 GB.
