Nearly 10 years after its release, Rockstar Games will add the ability to run for the main characters by holding down a button instead of pressing them all the time to GTA V’s open world game. This has been officially announced blog developer
In an update called San Andreas Mercenaries, it is stated that a new feature will take place in the story and multiplayer. “An additional ability to control running (hold button to run) will be added to the settings menu,” the developers’ post says.
Since its debut, players have had to constantly press the button to speed up the character, holding the button down causes the character to start walking.
As originally envisioned by Rockstar, constant pressing of the button would give gamepad players a feeling of sprinting, forcing them to constantly push and not abuse the opportunity.
San Andreas Mercenary Update also includes new missions for online mode. Also, players will now be able to add their own name for a personal garage and unlock snow in director mode.
The patch will release on June 13 on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X/S. The list does not include PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, where the game was first released in September 2013.
