Diablo developers ban Russians from receiving gifts on their services

Battle.net accounts in Russia and Belarus regions are prohibited from accepting gifts from other users. In this respect informs DTF Portal.

Therefore, when you try to send the game as a gift to an account from the Russian Federation or the Republic of Belarus, an error appears with the message “Your friend cannot receive this gift”. The reason for the restriction is not yet known. The issue is thought to be related to sending games as gifts can be considered as circumventing the game purchase restriction on the service.

It is worth noting that the ban does not apply to goods for which you can specify a code, for example, game time for World of Warcraft.

Blizzard has not yet made an official statement about the gift ban. Users wishing to purchase Blizzard games on PC in Russia and Belarus will now need to create a new account or migrate their existing account in a different region.
