Nintendo has announced that from May 31, the eShop in Russia will start operating in limited mode. Information on this is available at: official website companies.

Nintendo said in a statement that at the beginning of 2022, shipments of new goods to the Russian Federation were stopped and the eShop was put into maintenance mode due to the inability to purchase in rubles.

“As part of our efforts to honor our current commitments to customers, the Russian version of the Nintendo eShop will be limitedly operational. In the foreseeable future, from May 31, 2023, Russian customers with a Nintendo Account will be able to re-download digital content that they have previously purchased.”

This means that users will be able to download games that they have paid for before. At the same time, it will not be possible to create new Nintendo Accounts with Russia as the country of use – you must select a different region during registration.
