Vipul, a resident of India, said that the new OnePlus Nord 2T smartphone exploded just six days after its purchase. According to this Telegram-channel Equal Leaks caught fire while cycling in the tool holder’s pocket.

“The user was hospitalized after this incident, but is currently fine,” the author said. Judging by the published pictures, the young man had severe burns on the skin of his legs. The smartphone was impossible to recover after a fire.

Vipul contacted OnePlus support via social media and sent an official request. The owner of the smartphone assures that the company refuses to see what happened as an error in the design of the device.

The post reads, “OnePlus has determined that the user is responsible for the explosion.” According to Equal Leaks, explosion cases of OnePlus smartphones have become more frequent in India lately, but earlier these were not new, but long-released gadgets.
