Elizabeth Holmes, the founder of Theranos, will serve her sentence in a women’s prison located about 160 km from her hometown in Texas, USA. It has been reported Yahoo News.

“Holmes will wear khaki pants and a khaki shirt. He will be awakened every day at six in the morning with other female prisoners,” he says.

The prison has more than 500 inmates, most of whom are imprisoned for non-violent crimes. Prisoners are usually placed in bunk beds with four to eight people in each cell.

According to the prison handbook, all inmates will work and earn between 12 cents and $1.15 an hour for their work. They are generally employed in the catering sector and factories.

Holmes will be given one hour for each meal at the institution. He will also be given the right to talk to his family via video connection. The entrepreneur will be able to see his family and friends on weekends and holidays.

In March, former Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes try to delay Sentenced to 11 years in prison after she recently gave birth to her second child. However, the court rejected the appeal of the businessman’s lawyers against the decision.

In 2022, Holmes was found guilty of defrauding beginner traders by using a drop of blood from a finger to quickly analyze multiple indicators. For this, Theranos planned to create a special device. However, although Holmes continued to reassure investors about the authenticity of the medical device, it turned out that the development could not be implemented.
