Rosatom launches mass import substitution of office software

In the last three years, state company Rosatom has purchased 100,000 licenses for the Myoffice office suite, the closest equivalent of Microsoft Office in Russia. In this respect informs Vedomosti edition.

It was noted that in 2020-2021, Rosatom bought 35 thousand copies, and the government agency bought another 65 thousand licenses in 2022. Of the 100,000 copies, 66,000 are the basic Myoffice package, and the remaining 34,000 are advanced.

This is allegedly one of the largest recent Russian office software purchases. At the same time, the amount of the transaction between Rosatom and software developer Moyoffice was not disclosed.

According to the retail prices of Myoffice products, the acquisition could cost Rosatom 1.8 billion rubles. At the same time, experts interviewed by Vedomosti point out that in such large transactions, sellers often meet customers halfway through and offer discounts.
