Denuvo is a DRM protection that prevents game piracy. Many gamers and developers claim that Denuvo negatively affects game performance. To test this claim, the host of YouTube channel YetTea benchmarked several games where Denuvo was removed. Tests were conducted on the same computer with an Intel Core i9-10850K processor, 32 GB of RAM and a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card.

According to the results of the experiment, it turned out that games without Denuvo open much faster than games with anti-piracy. For example, Ghostwire Tokyo without Denuvo loaded into the main menu in 54 seconds and with Denuvo in 200 seconds. At the same time, the time difference was preserved in repeated launches.

Also, games without DRM protection showed higher and more stable frame rates than games with Denuvo. There was a stuttering in DRM protected games that could disrupt the game experience.
