As part of the Tuesday Patch program, Microsoft has released patch KB5026361 for Windows 10, which fixes a number of vulnerabilities. However, some users encountered serious errors including “blue screen error” while working with the operating system, informs 3DNews portal.

The most common issue encountered after an update is the appearance of “blue screens” (BSOD) with the Process 1 Initialization Failed code. According to Microsoft documentation, this error is due to a corrupted or resized bootcat.cache file. A possible solution is to use a boot disk to overwrite this file.

Additionally, users complain of error 0x800f0922 and random device reboots when trying to install an update.

Microsoft has yet to comment on the situation. It is unknown when the company will release a bug fix. Microsoft is probably already reviewing user feedback and working on a solution.
