A US embassy employee advised the couple to seek legal advice from a diplomatic attorney. According to him, streamers can face at least deportation, and at most – up to 10 years in prison.
Later, the streamers contacted and stated that they were released from prison, describing the incident as a “misunderstanding”. According to viewers, the bloggers will soon leave Nepal – they managed to get away with minimal punishment.
