Chinese technology giant Baidu introduced its first smartphone, Xiaodu Qinghe, which distinguishes itself from its competitors with its extraordinary concept. This is a “smartphone tutor” for schoolchildren with full parental control, informs portal Hi-Tech Mail.Ru.
Xiaodu Qinghe works on a custom firmware that provides the user with a wide range of training opportunities. On the main screen of the smartphone is a virtual teacher with voice assistant functions, which helps the child with his studies. With it, you can read books, complete tasks, learn new topics, play chess, keep a journal and much more.
It also claims to have more than a thousand built-in textbooks and 30,000 courses on various subjects. The user can listen to audiobooks, take AI-enabled online courses, and test their knowledge with quizzes and lessons from the chatbot. All completed tasks can be scanned – neural networks will check for accuracy and give feedback.
The smartphone also allows the user to have fun in his spare time. You can watch videos, play games, chat on social networks and use other apps on the device.
In addition, the user’s parents will be able to connect to the smartphone via remote access and monitor his learning. In addition, parents will be able to track the child’s location with an accuracy of 10 meters, open the camera on the smartphone to see the child’s surroundings, delete contacts and blacklist friends that parents do not like. Also, the smartphone will provide parents with the opportunity to view photos, videos, correspondence and other information on the child’s device.
At the same time, the smartphone can notify parents if the child uses the device while lying down or in inappropriate conditions such as insufficient light.
Xiaodu Qinghe will go on sale exclusively in China on May 22. The price and features of the device will be announced on the day the sales start.
