Twitter CEO Elon Musk spoke about downtown San Francisco, lamenting the decline of a “once beautiful and prosperous” neighborhood and calling it a “disaster”. It has been reported business insider.

“A disaster in downtown San Francisco, which was once beautiful and prosperous. Now this area has become an abandoned zombie apocalypse caused by a virus of progressive brains,” he said, comparing San Francisco to cities in post-apocalyptic movies.

The billionaire also pointed to the large number of homeless people and the drug crisis in the city. At the same time, San Francisco is still a major tech hub, alongside the headquarters of companies like Google, Twitter, Apple and Meta (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).

The Twitter headquarters, owned by Musk, is just a short walk from the city’s Tenderloin district, often referred to as the epicenter of the homeless.

Musk has publicly used the term “awakened mind virus” in recent months, including in an April interview with US host Bill Maher.

The term alludes to criticism from governors and other American officials of far-left liberal views and is used to denote the poor quality of government in individual cities and states of the United States.
