In the first quarter of 2023, 6.4 million smartphones were imported into Russia. This “socialbites.ca” became aware of the report of the analytical center of the GS Group company, a copy of which is at the disposal of the editors.

It is also understood from the report that at the end of the first quarter of 2023, Russia accounts for 2.4% of the global smartphone market. This figure is 0.1% higher than last year. A share of 2.4% allows Russia to remain in the ten largest markets in the world.

Xiaomi was the main smartphone supplier in Russia at the beginning of 2023. The Chinese seller imported 1.3 million devices to the Russian Federation in the January-March period, allowing it to occupy 21% of the country’s market. Also among the top 5 suppliers in terms of market shares in the Russian Federation are Samsung (14%), Honor (11.3%), Realme (11%) and Apple (slightly less than 11%).

Despite the loss in market share, Samsung is the leader in the number of devices working in Russia: the brand’s active fleet of smartphones totals 31 million units. For comparison: in second place in this indicator is Xiaomi with a fleet of 24.8 million devices.

Formerly socialbites.ca Wrote reported that the retail price of the flagship smartphone iPhone 14 Pro in Russia has dropped by 12%.
