The network states that they did not participate in Iaccarino’s past work as advertising director at NBCUniversal, in addition to his participation in the WEF. Some criticized NBC’s earlier statements praising its efforts for gender and racial diversity and its pro-mask and pro-vaccine stance during the pandemic.
According to Iaccarino’s LinkedIn profile, he has been a WEF member since 2019 and is chair of the WEF Future of Jobs Working Group and a member of the Media, Entertainment and Culture committee.
