Alexander Khinshtein, chairman of the State Duma Information Policy Committee, said that together with the RKN, a legislative initiative has been developed that will require Internet platforms to audit their content, including the removal of content. It has been reported telegraph channel policy.

“In this context, together with Roskomnadzor, we are starting to develop a legislative initiative that will compel such platforms to moderate their content and proactively remove anything that violates the law,” Khinshtein said.

He pointed out that a similar rule has been adopted for social networks before.

“And for this law to work, we will also provide for large fines for non-compliance,” the State Duma deputy added.
