The White House did not see Meta as an “AI leader” (known as an extremist and banned in Russia) and did not invite Mark Zuckerberg to a meeting where further development of AI technologies was discussed. It has been reported business insider.
Last week, the Biden administration brought together the CEOs of tech giants to discuss AI regulation. The guest list included leaders from OpenAI (owner of ChatGPT), Google, Microsoft and other companies.
However, Meta’s chairman, Mark Zuckerberg, was not among the guests of the White House. This information was confirmed by one of the authorities.
“A meeting was held between the heads of companies that are leaders in their fields. [ИИ]“,” said the White House representative.
Despite Meta investing a lot of money in the development of artificial intelligence, the company does not yet have a consumer product to appear in the information space. Meanwhile, Google and Microsoft have their own chatbots that have been heavily promoted online over the past few months.
