WhatsApp currently allows iPhone users to transfer their chat histories and media to another Applesmartphone only if they have backed up the chat and uploaded it to iCloud.
With a new feature called Transfer Chats to iPhone, users will simply have to download WhatsApp to their new smartphone.
The user then needs to register with the same mobile number and use their old “iPhone” to scan the QR code on the new device. The system will automatically transfer all data to a new gadget.
According to WABetaInfo, the new built-in service will be unlimited, as opposed to 5GB of free iCloud storage. For more volume, iPhone owners must subscribe to a monthly subscription.
For now, the new feature is available to some beta testers who have installed the latest version of WhatsApp for iOS from the TestFlight app. Over time, this opportunity is expected to emerge for all WhatsApp users.
