The developers of WhatsApp have released a new beta version of the messenger for Windows with the ability to change the wallpaper in chats. In this respect informs WABetaInfo version.
To change the background in chats, you need to download WhatsApp version 2.2316.2.0 from Microsoft Store. After installation, you need to go to settings, select “Personalization” and apply one of the 15 available wallpaper colors.
Currently, the function works with significant limitations. First, the selected background color is automatically applied to all chats. Secondly, while WhatsApp does not allow you to use photos and other custom images as wallpaper.
WABetaInfo writes that currently version 2.2316.2.0 is only available for download in a limited number of regions. Journalists hope it will then become available globally.
