Apple’s mixed reality headset will have a brand new charging port and will be powered by an external battery. In this respect informs Bloomberg.

According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, the Apple headset will run on an external battery and users will have to put it in their pockets. Thanks to this solution, the helmet will be lighter as the battery is placed inside. According to Apple, this should improve the usability of the device. The disadvantage of this solution will be a wire sticking out of the helmet that will reach the battery.

The headset will have two connectors: USB Type-C for data transfer and a brand new port for charging the device. The latter will be included in the package and will receive a magnetized round tip to the device. You will need to turn the port clockwise to avoid and fix the charge drop during use.

An external battery keeps the headset running for about two hours. The dimensions of the battery are comparable to the iPhone, but the thickness will be more.

The unveiling of Apple’s first mixed reality headset, called Reality Pro or Reality One, is expected to take place on June 5 as part of the WWDC 2023 conference.

Formerly socialbites.ca saidThat Apple will release a 32- and 42-inch monitor and iMac by 2027.
