Virtex Stadium Company announced a virtual stadium project — an innovative format for watching eSports with the effect of being in the game.
The project was implemented in the form of a computer application that provides fans with the opportunity to participate in eSports events in two ways: being in a virtual arena that mimics a real stadium or immersing themselves in the game. The second method makes it possible to move around the map during an e-sports competition, as in a virtual reality helmet.
The technology is currently in closed beta testing. The developers are planning to support CS:GO championships, but have not yet announced their collaboration with any tournament operators.
