Police officers arrived at the Mullvad VPN office in Sweden with a search warrant. It has been reported blog popular service.
According to employees, the incident occurred on April 18. “At least six officers from the Swedish Police’s National Operations Department (NOA) visited the Mullvad VPN office in Gothenburg with a search warrant,” the spokesperson said.
Mullvad VPN said the police wanted to take their business computers with data from VPN service clients. The company claims “no such customer data is available” per company policy.
“We told them they had no reason to find customer data and any seizure is illegal under Swedish law,” the spokesperson added. The blog states that as a result, the police left the office without confiscating office equipment.
Mullvad concluded that police had come to them with a search for the first time in 14 years of VPN service.
