Shinji Mikami, the director of the original Resident Evil 4, praised the 2005 version of the game, pointing out that the reworked version of his project completely cuts through the plot. The game designer wrote about his impressions: twitter.
“Resident Evil 4 Remake is completely successful. I really like the game!” noted. According to some fans and critics, the remake fell short of 2005’s cult survival horror.
Mikami started remake on April 5th when she had some free time. At the end of February, the author of the original RE4 announced that he was leaving Tango Gameworks studio, which he founded 13 years ago. One of the studio’s most successful projects is the Evil Within series, which reminds some players only of RE4.
According to unofficial information, two years before the remake was officially announced, Mikami “approved” the development, but declined to personally lead the work on the new game. Later, the Japanese game designer said that he has nothing against a remake of Resident Evil 4 if the game is good.

Resident Evil 4 Remake was released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X and S on March 24. The original game went on sale in 2005 and is still popular with gamers on previous generation consoles.
