The head of the Russian-speaking hacker group KillNet, acting under the pseudonym KillMilk, told socialbites.ca about a hacker attack on the systems of the European air navigation security organization Eurocontrol.

“We are launching an attack on a company that deals with the navigation of all airlines in Europe. Our actions are already leading to the cancellation of European airlines. “This organization seems harmless, but unfortunately it is part of NATO,” he said.

According to KillMilk, Eurocontrol’s initial reaction and the statement that only the site was affected is not true. “Today we will bring a great inconvenience to all airlines in Europe! Why do Eurocontrol partners cancel flights drastically if only the website is damaged? Did the bulldozer cut the wires again? – said the leader of the hacker group.

In May 2003, Eurocontrol and NATO signed a cooperation memorandum. The organization is not officially part of the EU departments, but is responsible for the air traffic system over Europe. Currently the organization includes 41 states, Eurocontrol has its headquarters in Brussels.

Former KillMilk reported About hacking NATO information systems and putting some private data of North Atlantic Alliance members up for sale.
