Withings, the French company specializing in sanitary ware, has announced the Withings Body Smart smart scale, informs portal Hi-Tech Mail.Ru. The innovation stands out from the competition with a number of unique features, including hiding the wearer’s weight.
The Withings Body Smart balance received an Eyes Closed mode designed for people who suffer from eating disorders or lose motivation for a healthy lifestyle if they don’t see rapid changes. In this mode, the scale will not show the actual weight of the user if there is no positive change.
Instead, the balance memorizes and records all data. They will show weight when progress is particularly noticeable. According to the manufacturer, such a feature will help the user focus on their goals, whether it is an increase in muscle mass or weight loss.
Other outstanding features include viewing the weather, air quality information and motivational messages. Otherwise, smart scales are standard: they analyze body composition, metabolism, connect to a smartphone via an app and display other health indicators.
