Google has released an emergency update for Chrome browser version 112.0.5615.121, designed to protect users from a dangerous vulnerability. Portal reports Record.

This is a vulnerability code CVE-2023-2033. This was the first zero-day error in the Google Chrome browser since the beginning of 2023. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability through a malicious website and then gain access to the victim’s system.

Google is known to acknowledge the existence of the exploit and its use on the Internet. The vulnerability was discovered by a Google Threat Analysis Group expert on April 11, after which the company released an emergency patch for the browser and urged all users to update to the latest version. Technical details of attacks using CVE-2023-2033 are traditionally not disclosed so that the majority can safely install the update.
