An update to a popular feature has been discovered in the beta version of WhatsApp messenger update 2.23.8.24. Portal reports WABetaInfo.
Users will now be able to add new captions to the files they send if they decide to delete the original message. “This can be useful if the current signature does not correctly identify the file, or if you want to provide a different description for it,” WABetaInfo experts say.
The new feature reportedly works when sending images, videos, GIFs, and documents. So far, it is only available to beta testers, but will later roll out to all users of the messenger.
