Scammers robbed the Steam account of a certain 20-year-old Imran from Moscow, who had various skins for weapons in the online shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, amounting to 43 thousand rubles. In this respect informs Baza Telegram channel.

The scam started when one of his Steam friends invited Imran to play Counter-Strike. The man agreed, but saw foreign players in the lobby in addition to his friend. They suggested Imran go to a private Discord group to chat, but for that he needed to update his profile on Steam. To do this, you had to offer someone to purchase a skin from your inventory, but not confirm the deal. Imran decided to secure his job and offered a deal to his trusted friend.

“After that the page was really refreshed. However, the man discovered that the swap offer was approved by both parties and sent it to a fake account and not to a friend,” Baza writes.

As a result, the young man lost all his skins, which was estimated at 43 thousand rubles. The most expensive item in the collection of Imran was “Falchion” for 28 thousand rubles.

Baza adds that after realizing the victim’s mistake, he angrily reformatted the computer completely and deleted all the data on the computer. Apparently, the victim did not contact the police.
