According to a study by analytics company DFC Intelligence, the global audience of video games has reached 3.7 billion people. In this respect informs game industry portal.

3.7 billion people are recorded playing video games in one form or another across different platforms: PC, consoles or mobile devices. And despite nearly half of the world’s population playing video games, analysts call only 10% of that number “real” gamers. There are only about 300 million such players. According to DFC Intelligence, they provide guidance to game developers and manufacturers of game systems.

Mobile gaming has become the most popular type of gaming consumption in the world. According to the research, the majority of gaming PC and console users live in the EU and North America.

DFC Intelligence believes that the main challenge for developers is to get smartphone users interested in more serious and powerful gaming hardware.

Analysts also predict that the number of players will continue to increase in the future.
