In Russia, a local analogue of the Downdetector service called “Fault Monitoring” was launched, informs TASS. The service is available on the website of the Public Network Monitoring and Control Center (CMU SSOP).
“Bug Tracking” allows you to monitor the work of various resources on the Internet. It works based on reports of users who may report problems in accessing online banks, internet services or telecom operators. After receiving a complaint, SSOP CMU experts analyze the cause of the malfunction using the Center’s information systems.
The service website also offers a fault heatmap based on data received from users. It shows which services are malfunctioning in different regions of Russia. In addition, the site has a Mirror service that allows you to view information about the status and visibility of autonomous systems in the network, routing information and autonomous system connection graphs. The data is updated in real time from all Russian telecom operators through the Center’s information monitoring system.
Another new service on the site is the Number Resource Register, which contains information about network addresses, autonomous systems, their relationships and owners. It allows you to get information about routing objects (IP addresses, autonomous systems), which contributes to the stability of Runet in the absence of foreign Internet records.
