Microsoft has released a new test build of Windows 11 KB5025310, in which test takers change the mode of the Print Screen key to take screenshots. It has been reported WindowsLatest.
It is noted that by default on standard keyboards for PCs and laptops with Windows, the PrtScr key can be pressed to quickly take a screenshot and save it to the clipboard. This button behavior has been standard for 30 years.
However, in the new test build, Microsoft made it so that when pressing the PrtScr key, it opens the Snipping Tool (“Scissors”) for editing instead of saving the screenshot to the clipboard.
It is stated that KB5025310 changes the default key behavior for all users. To restore the classic Print Screen key, you need to go to “Settings”, go to “Accessibility”, select “Keyboard” and change the setting to classic.
