On March 31, clashes broke out between passenger Timofey Shulgin and security personnel at Sheremetyevo Airport. As Shulgin passed through security in Terminal B’s parking lot, he refused to open his laptop to check, saying he didn’t know how. In addition, the passenger requested to show an engineer certificate, because according to him, only an engineer can control expensive equipment.

Shulgin continued to insist that he was right and refused to cooperate with the airport staff.
After speaking with the SBI and the police, Shulgin agreed to have his laptop rechecked. Examination by the X-ray television introscope and the method of manual contact did not reveal any violations. Afterwards, the passenger left the scanning area with his belongings, left the laptop and bag in his car and successfully passed the scan without it.
